Bio

Sonja is a graduate of Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she received a bachelor's degree in Psychology. She later went on to receive a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Santa Monica (Center for the Study and Practice of Spiritual Psychology).

Sonja has an extensive history in Recruiting, and Human Resources. Sonja has worked for several major Fortune 500 companies, such as Ernst & Young, Andersen Consulting, and at Bank of America, where she held the position of Assistant Vice President, Corporate Recruiter.

Sonja has co-facilitated a weekly support group for family members of Alzheimer's patients. In addition, she worked directly with Alzheimer's patients at Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health Center. She has also provided counseling services to adult clients at the South Bay Center for Counseling.

Sonja has been a facilitator for American Corrective Counseling Services, Inc. In this capacity, her clients achieved awareness and learned choices that allowed them to take responsibility for their actions. For many clients, an eventual outcome was to isolate negative financial behaviors and address lifestyle issues that can cause stress and disharmony.

In addition, Sonja has experience in other industries, such as gaming, hospitality, retail, and food service.

Sonja received her anger management training and certification from the nationally recognized Anderson & Anderson organization. In addition, she holds memberships in the following organizations:

Sonja Pugh-Williams provides Individual / Executive Coaching with a focus on anger, stress, communication, and emotional intelligence. To further realize the opportunity for healing and learning, Pugh-Williams also facilitates confidential anger management services for employees of private industry and local governments.

In her spare time, Sonja enjoys television shows like Burn Notice, and Monk. On her bookshelf, she counts The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch among her favorites. She is married, the mother of a young daughter and is a West Los Angeles resident.
